Diversity and Equality in Careers and Employment
Welcome to DECERe
Based in Norwich Business School, DECERe* aims to conduct and promote scholarship and research around the themes of diversity and equality under the overarching theme of careers and employment. The Centre Director is Dr Sara Connolly.
DECERe presents a unique opportunity for researchers both within and outside UEA to address strands of equality and diversity in a research environment which:
-
supports the individual and collaborative work of its members,
-
develops a sense of mutual appreciation among its members and dialogue across disciplines,
-
opens up new windows of opportunity for research, supervision and career advancement in the field, and
-
builds up capacity and culture of transdisciplinary research supported by research funding.
DECERe currently has approximately 50 research-active members from around the world, representing a fine balance of academic scholars and practitioners. Our members come from disciplines as wide ranging as education, law, management, health, sociology and economics, and are drawn together by a mutual interest in equality and diversity in the context of work.
