Biography

I joined the Business School in 2004. As a Lecturer I currently teach Organisational Behaviour and Business Ethics (undergraduate and postgraduate). In addition to teaching, I am Director of the BSc. Business Management programme, and a member and former Chair of the NBS Research Ethics Committee.

I hold a BSc (Hons.) in Psychology from Aston University and a Masters in Occupational Psychology (MSc. with Distinction) from University of Sheffield (Institute of Work Psychology). I received a PhD in Management from Aston Business School, Aston University. My doctoral research investigated the antecedents of negative emotions in supervisory relationships using an attachment theory framework. Prior to my doctoral studies, I was a research associate at Warwick Business School, University of Warwick, on an ESRC-funded project investigating innovation in teams.

My current research interests include emotions at work, attachment theory in organisational contexts, and leader-follower relations, as well as ethical decision-making and ethical leadership.

I am interested in supervising PhD research in organisational behaviour, specifically in the areas of emotions at work and/or leader-follower relations. Applicants with a psychology or relevant MSc. background are especially welcome.
