Biography

I have theoretical strength in industrial economics and regulatory economics, my main field of expertise is in econometrics though, especially panel-data analysis and issues in time series data analysis, and efficiency and productivity measures (using DEA and SFA). I am particularly interested in four major research areas: evaluation of regulatory policy, economic performance of network/utility industries (e.g., energy, telecoms, transport, banking), methodological issues on efficiency and productivity measures (especially the benchmarking frontier-based methods – parametric, non-parametric and semi-parametric techniques), and consumer choice/switching behaviour. I have been actively involved with academic community by presenting papers in many leading international conferences and workshops.
