The MBA Challenge

The MBA Challenge

In addition to formally taught units our full time MBA students have the opportunity to show their practical business skills in developing and running an event. Every MBA programme should have at least one opportunity for students to show they can make money! For our MBA students this is currently the Dragon Hall Challenge. For our MBA with Strategic Carbon Management students this is the Carbon Challenge.

The Challenge is for groups of students to organise high quality business events - from design stage through implementation to post event assessment. This is no theoretical exercise, but rather a practical challenge in business acumen and being able to make things happen successfully. The subject of the Challenge depends on the variant taken. For example, students enrolled on the MBA take the Dragon Hall Challenge and MBA with Strategic Carbon Management students take the Carbon Challenge. In 2011 the MBA challenges generated over £5000 for charity.
